Spay and neuter is a powerful and efficient strategy to reduce overpopulation and a great number of dogs and cats born in high risk situations (high abandonment rates, low income, neglect and cruelty).

For each spay and neuter clinic that we organice, our small Cozumel crew teams up with veterinarians and volunteers from all over the peninsula. Together we are able to set up and succesfully run clinics of up to 150 surgeries a day, most of them completely free for the families. Since our foundation in 2020 we have run 2 spay and neuter clinics in each town: Cozumel, Tizimín and Colonia Yucatán.
